Welding Qualification

Successful welding requires more than a power source and a welding rod. It requires a welding procedure specification (WPS) appropriate for the application that has been qualified with a weld procedure qualification (WPQ) to meet the requirements of welding codes, design codes, regulations. Qualification of the welder validates the understanding of the WPS and demonstrates their ability meet the requirements. These ensure the welding is repeatable a with a clear standard for the weld acceptance by certified welding inspector (CWI) or company inspector.
